Lautrec Bistro
East Village, New York City
Wine bar and small plates night spot Lautrec Bistro lures one from bustling First Avenue into an oasis for the senses. The space is designed as a fusion of vintage Paris and contemporary New York, with a stop in Tunisia on the way. Fine wine, cuisine, and intimate space merge in an experience of sensuality and timeless quality.
Inspired by the paintings of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, the space is casual but lively. The 40-foot long print of the French painter’s work is surrounded by exotic Tunisian fabric, the rich red brick of 19th Century New York, and glass diamond tiles reminiscent of a French café. Soft lighting and intimate seating areas present a warm and inviting atmosphere enlivened by the elegant central bar. The ensemble of rich materials, buttery lighting, and comfortably scaled space sets the tone for an experience of pure pleasure.
